(Los Angeles) Meruelo Media (Power 106, Cali 93.9, KLOS-FM, 93.5 KDAY, and KWHY-22 TV) has announced that Pio Ferro has joined Meruelo Media as its Senior Vice President of Programming and Content effective May 13, 2024.
In his new role, Ferro will manage the programming, content, and strategy for Meruelo Media’s programming operations and oversee the brand’s unparalleled digital resources and content.

Ferro was previously the Senior Vice President of Programming for New York City’s, MediaCo, programming WQHT-FM, (Hot 97) and WBLS-FM. Senior Vice President of Operations and Content with Emmis Communications, and Vice President of Hispanic Programming for CBS Dallas, and Vice President/National Program Director of Spanish Broadcasting System. Over the past 3 decades, Ferro has specialized in brand development, ratings growth, coaching, and mentoring talent, heading live events, and overseeing digital content development for consumer consumption for English and Spanish-speaking brands.
